My college roommate received the following email from a military base near the engineering firm where he works:

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
Caveats: NONE

There is a missile on the north dock of 5400.......does anybody know who this missile belongs to? We need to get rid of this item so we can continue cleaning the dock off.

1) Does anyone else find it mildly humorous that Auburn hired a guy from Pittsburgh as our new defensive coordinator when we play West Virginia for one of our first games next year? (since Pitt upset WVU pretty badly at the end of this past season)

2) While at Auburn I was always somewhat annoyed by the people who walked to class or down the Concourse with headphones on... but it is absolutely ridiculous to wear them walking down the hall at work!

Screwtape Letters

Over the Christmas break Kristen and I went and wondered around Books-A-Million on afternoon. I picked up "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis. It is an interesting read so far. Lewis presents a series of correspondence between a ranking demon, Screwtape, and his subordinate, Wormwood. In the letters the elder, more experienced, demon advises Wormwood on the best ways to deceive his assigned human.
My favorite line in the book so far occurs when a world war breaks out, the demons discuss how best to use this situation to their advantage.

"...so that we may consider whether you are likely to do more good by making him an extreme patriot or an ardent pacifist."
